The weather:::
unseasonably warmer than normal. We've been having highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s. Because we have NO SNOW. It was actually 60-something last Thursday!
On my reading pile:::
Bible ~ this year we are reading a chapter in Proverbs each day plus spending a month each in several NT books, starting with Mark.
Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis
I recently read Maid to Match by Deeanne Gist, which was a pretty light vacation read which I indulged myself with after finishing my treasurer reports for 2011. Then I started in on Charles Martin's Chasing Fireflies. Wow, someone else told me a while back how much she enjoys his books - and they are worth recommending.
On my TV:::
It's really Sunday, so I can hear my kids commenting on the NFL game they are watching. I would like to watch part two of Emma, which is on soon, but I'm guessing the TV will remain on the football game.
On the menu for this week:::
Monday - spicy goulash
Tuesday -turkey barley soup
Wednesday -farmhouse bbq biscuits
Thursday -chicken enchiladas
Friday - pancakes
Saturday -calzones
Sunday -taco rice casserole
On my to do list:::
menu plan is done for the month! :D
...but there are always more bills to pay and school papers to check
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
culottes for the Popper are still waiting to be finished... My new goal is to have them done before this Wednesday.
Looking around the house:::
the Popper and I put away tree ornaments yesterday, but the lights still need to come off... I leave those for Tim usually since he puts them on the tree too ;-) But maybe he missed that memo?
From the camera:::
...still not available... :-\
Something fun to share:::
Read Rachel's post about the listening mom {from distracted mom}
Bonus Thought:::
Just so you know, I am battling with insanity to prepare this post. Our desktop computer is at Mr. Fix-it's {aka Carousel Computer, since we have a restored Herschel-Spillman in town}. Thus I am using 'my' laptop, which is tempermental at best - and Mozilla is locking up every time this post goes into auto-save. and seems to not want to respond much in between either.
This also explains why I will not be producing more posts until my desktop comes home with it's hard drive all better. E-mail will remain my best social venue in cyberspace. And If I answer all the other prompts here, you should be duly impressed with my perseverance. ahem
On my prayer list:::
relationships, teaching (modeling) responsibility, ...
Bible verse, Devotional:::
Philippians 4 ~ please read it all for yourself, my time here in blogdom is gone!
